About Us
Michigan Ability Partners, (MAP) is a 501 (c) (3) human
service agency that has served persons with disabilities in
Southeastern Michigan for 27 years.

Last year MAP served approximately 1,000 persons
through our teams working in three southeastern Michigan
counties.

As a result of MAP's work, the individuals MAP
serves gradually require less social and
governmental support.
 Each year, many former MAP
participants cross the threshold to independent,
self-supported and satisfying lives.

Transitional Work Program (TWP) and social enterprise work
initiatives
– designed to provide immediate, paid work experience
to individuals while employers enjoy several benefits of getting their
production needs met without the overhead of hiring permanent
employees.
MAP works individuals to help them find what they
need to achieve the level of independence they
desire.

MAP's approach is tailored to each individual but
takes advantage of best practices from a wide
variety of services including housing, vocational
development, mental and physical health, addiction
treatments and more.

MAP provides individuals with case management
that encompasses all aspects necessary to the
specific individual, whether it is help with a budget,
finding and sticking with a treatment program,
temporary housing or whatever combination of
elements it takes for a particular individual.

How can you help?
Causes of homelessness are complex as they include both
societal & personal circumstances.
Consequently, a cookie-cutter approach to solve the problem is not successful
.
